The Big Tent Event takes place at the Playing Fields Queen’s Avenue in Aldershot please see flyers in church for more details.

Bulb Amnesty All Saints gardener Paul Collins has offered to plant any spring bulbs donated by parishioners to beautify the churchyard for Easter. There is a bulb box at the back of the church for your offerings and it would be helpful if you could label them so he knows what they are.

A five week course looking at Prayer and Spirituality and the way in which we can use the Scriptures creatively to enhance our discipleship is planned to begin in September. Dates; Sept 14, 21, 28 and Oct 5 and 12. Venue P&J Church at 7.30pm. Places will be limited to 12. Data Protection Forms If you have not yet filled out one of the data protection forms please could you do it and return it to the duty warden, Vicar or parish office asap.

Parish Office Charlotte is on holiday from the 6th September returning on the 20th. Roy will be monitoring emails etc.

Parish BBQ/Bring and Braai Following the success of last years Saturday lunchtime parish BBQs (Bring and Braai) we will be getting together again on Saturday 18 September at P&J from 11.00 to 14.00.
The Format will be the same as usual including children’s entertainment, games etc. We will provide chips and ice cream and there will be a few BBQ’s for people’s sausages and burgers, a bouncy
castle, games etc. Cost: 5 pound per family. More info next week. All are welcome.


2ndTues@2 Cinema Club 14th September September's film features a ghostly character who is the subject of a long running Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in London. Film will start at 2 pm at the Fleet Methodist church, Reading Road South, Fleet. No admission charge but donations - preferably gift-aided - requested. Tea and biscuits served. Funding our Future: This is our campaign to achieve a sustainable future for our parish. 'Funding our Future' workshops are in progress and we encourage everyone to attend one of these to find out more.  If you would like to attend a workshop, but have not been able to make any of our dates, please contact Nick Doran (819563 or nick.doran@btinternet.com).

Tickets Livingstone’s are looking for a representative from our churches to sell tickets for the Charles Timberlake concert in October. If you would like to help please contact them on 01252 616038.

All Saints lighting petition Please be aware that the petition for the lighting at All Saints is on display in both churches. If anyone would like to view the full scheme it is available at The Vicarage during office hours. See "Lighten Our Darkness" web page for some Fantastic News on the fundraising.

Would anyone be interested in a cycle ride after church on Sunday 5 September? Distances from 10 to 25 miles catered for. Paceto suit the group, mainly on quiet roads, optional off - road sections,ending up at a pub/cafe. Non-cycling groupies could meet us there. The Luard Trio On Saturday 4 September, will provide sacred, secular and sensational music from Baroque to Boogie Woogie at 7.30pm on at The Church on the Heath, The Key, Elvetham Heath, Fleet. This Trio of classically trained singers has regularly appeared in some of the South’s most prestigious venues including Winchester Cathedral and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Dressed in silks, satins and sequins, Caroline, Valerie and Julie will sing duets and trios from France and Germany, Italian Opera, English Operetta, Songs from the Musicals and even Folk Songs. The Annual Church on the Heath Golf Competition will take place at North Hants Golf Club, Fleet, on 10th September from 2.00 pm. Teams of two (men, ladies or mixed) will compete for the Church Shield in a better ball stableford format. Any golfers interested in playing should contact David Heffernan on telephone 01252 616746 or via mail@theheffernans.com for further information and an application form. Cost £50 per person, includes a three course meal afterwards. (NHGC members £30)

Hart Male Voice Choir in Concert Friday 24 September at Salesian College, Reading Rd, Farnborough. Starts at 7.30 pm. Tickets @ £10 available from mid-August via 01252 621727 or 612527 or the PT Hospice shop at 279 Fleet Rd, Fleet. All proceeds to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
