Prayer Partners 2010

Following the success of this year's Prayer Partner fellowship, the Parish Prayer Programme Team plans to offer everyone another opportunity to participate during the coming year, starting in Advent.

We warmly encourage everyone to consider joining in. Jesus tells us to 'love one another, as I have loved you' and one way of doing this is to pray for each other. If life is very busy you do not necessarily have to meet regularly, as prayer needs can be shared with just a phone call or an e-mail.

For those of you who are already 'on board', you may remember that existing partnerships were only for this year. Of course, you are welcome to continue existing partnerships if you wish, but the idea is to change prayer partners each year.

If you are in agreement with this, your previous prayer partnership will be dissolved and names will go back into the 'melting pot', to be reassigned in Advent.

The Parish Prayer Programme Team has recognized that same gender prayer partners should be the norm. Apart from this your prayer partner will be selected at random and maybe from either church.

For anyone wanting to become a Prayer Partner - look out for the slips to complete and the silver coloured reply box which will be in both churches from Sunday 4 October - or if you prefer, phone Jane Allen on 622676.

Then come along to the combined service at Ss Philip & James on Sunday 29 November to discover who your prayer partner will be.
