PARISH GARDEN PARTY – SUNDAY 6th JULY – 2.30 – 5p.m.

Last year we had a very successful Garden Party where over 100 people came – it was a lovely sunny day and we had a most magnificent spread of delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones to tempt you with and you were all tempted! We had several ‘attractions’, plant and cake stall and a wonderful tombola giving a ‘prize every time’! The children were able to undertake painting on glass and there was a huge Jenga for them to enjoy as well.

SO this year we are going to repeat this very popular event – it is an event FOR ALL AGE GROUPS – and this year will be held at Juliet and David Worthington’s lovely garden in Fitzroy Road. There will be an added attraction of a full size trampoline – so anyone feeling ‘bouncy’ can ‘bounce!

We will again be offering you a delicious tea, with all homemade cakes, scones etc. We also hope there will be a wonderful produce stall of homemade cakes, vegetables, jams and jellies and plants plus a Craft Stall (you will remember all the wonderful ‘crafty’ items that our Craft Group created for the Christmas Tree Festival – well they are going to give us the opportunity to see how talented they are by running a Craft Stall. We will also have a ‘prize every time’ Tombola .

So PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY NOW, SUNDAY 6TH JULY at Longacre, 22 Fitzroy Road, Fleet and come and meet fellow parishioners old and new.

Nearer the time we will be asking for CONTRIBUTIONS towards any of the stalls and LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVELY CAKES AND SCONES FOR TEA! But you will be remind you. Any information needed – please contact Elizabeth 613156, Claire 628884, Lynda 621402 or Dian 622635.

LETS MAKE THIS A MEMORABLE OCCASION FOR US ALL

The Continental Singers coming to The Church on the Heath

Continental Ministries is now the largest interdenominational Christian music organisation in the world. From one group in 1967, the ministry has grown to over 60 groups, involving 1800 young Christians from many different countries giving 3000 live concerts all over the world.
Coming to the Church on the Heath, Elvetham Heath on Saturday 26th July at 7.30 p.m.
Reservations can be taken by telephoning: 621639 or by e-mail to: haydonwilcox@mac.com
Leave your name, address and telephone number and the number of tickets you'd like. Tickets £5 for adults. Children are free and welcomed. As this is a Christian music concert to especially encourage people in the good news of Christ's message, we encourage you to bring friends or family who are unsure of their belief in God. In such cases do apply for complimentary tickets, as they are the very people we want to encourage.
You can just turn up at the door on the night but we do expect a large take up – so reserve and don't be disappointed! If you are willing to give accommodation to one or two of these young people on the Saturday night then please ring Joan Bradnam 676667.
I have hosted many of these concerts in Nottinghamshire and Aldershot.
I can assure they are brilliant. You'll have a great night out –
you'll leave with a smile on your face, having been entertained but challenged with the generosity of love and joy that lies at the heart of our faith.
The Revd. Haydon Wilcox
